Forgot to mention: I finally caved and picked up Sigur Ros yesterday. I know, I know, but I didn't spend any money. Thrifty Nat picked it up by trading in some old crappy CD's that I combed through in a Christmas collection grooming session. I even made a profit of 32$. Heh. Anyway, it's great. It's the live recording of a gig they did in Reikiavic (sp?), Iceland in 1999. Only 10$ at BlakByrd. Something creepy though--I noticed they used one of their songs on the soundtrack of that T.V. show CSI the other day. It was a quazi-autopsy scene. Now I have to work out what I think of CSI...
Anyway, the next CD's I have reflected in my shiny vacant eyes are Hanged Up, "Kicker in tow" and maybe Corb Lund's "Five Dollar Bill". It's been out since the spring and I'm ashamed to admit I don't have it yet. I was heart-broken that I missed his gig at the Power Plant on Saturday. Sooooon, my pets, sooooon. The second half of my loan comes in after Christmas. I'll also be picking up some more Miles Davis as soon as possible. I can't believe I don't have Bitch's Brew yet. Also, maybe some Phish, just cause it would be nice to have some in my collection. Jesus. This is starting to sound like a Christmas wish list. Damn it all!!!
