Aye, nat's been busy, busy, busy. Over this weekend alone, I had a visit with two blasts from the past. First, I hooked up with Pierre and Erin, as well as Pierre's sister, Nicole. They're back in town for a couple weeks before school starts again. Erin is expecting a baby in December, and she's already starting to show a wee bit, which is much different from the first time she was preggers, when it took her till her 7th month to show. Then I had visit with my old buddy Vern from waaaaaaaay back in the day. To make a long story very short, he used to be my drama teacher in high school. He's working for the Citadell Theatre now and he's produced/directed/written more than a few shows in between, as well as spent some time living in New York (brave soul!). He worked it out that I've known him for ten years. I mean I don't keep in touch with anybody anymore that I've known for ten years!!! Anyway, it was great to see him again. He said I haven't changed a bit and I agreed that, aside from slimming down a tad since last we met, he hasn't changed either. He's one of those people who never seems to age: he is both eternally young and old at heart, if that makes any sense. Hopefully we'll be better at staying in touch this time around. In between all of this, I've been spending ALOT of time with my new .....'friend'. Let me introduce Mr. S, one of the coolest people I've ever met. As my faithful readers are aware, I prefer to stay vague about such matters on my blog, but let me just say that this guy is a keeper. Funny as hell, blue eyes that pierce right through you, passionate in all the right ways, crazy, genius with his job, older, not afraid to speak his mind, obsessed with movies and music, and he's got that spark, you know? that elusive spark so rare and prescious to find that few others in my life have expressed with such grace and style, like Montreal friend, like Corinne, like lovers who disappear before the limelight finds them. Ah. More gushing later.
One word: Interpol.
