WOW!! What an unusual day yesturday!!! I was supposed to go to a wedding reception last night, but my date cancelled at the minute because he got called into work. I just didn't have the balls to go alone, so I decided to stay home. But what a great afternoon!! I got a call from Montreal friend. It was soooo good to talk to him. We haven't talked since Christmas. We talked on the phone for like 3 hours!!! He has dreams in French now and he's back to washing windows for the summer, but next week he'll be going on tour with a Francophone Symphony Orchestra for a couple months. He might be coming back to visit for the last couple weeks of August before school starts. I got all excited when he told me that. I miss him. No matter how much time goes by, we can always relate to each other. I bet we'll be friends till our dying days, even though romantically our timing is so bad it's a comedy. Ah, in a perfect world... He says he misses Edmonton, but it sounds like he's doing well there. He's one of the bravest people I've ever known. In many ways, he's a hero to me. He still wants me to try coming out to Montreal. I would LOVE to, but I'm so scared about trying to get a job I can handle without any real French language skills. I really need to save up some money so I can at least go there for a visit soon. Some day, some day, some day the world will get wider and more friendly to me... What a week. So much to think about.
