I think this one is really worth a read, especially for the gals out there. I wish I could pick it apart for you, but it would take me pages. Plus, there are some things about it that I'm not sure I could explain yet...

DEAL BREAKERS

The room was parched with proper promises
for all the risky generosity
that neither could afford.

"Let's make a deal,"
she told him,
"If you bring home the parties,
I'll bring home the bacon."
And so the stage was set
for barren aging
to remain ageless.

She had fantasies
of communicating prophesies
and every turn of Satan's sterile tongue
onlly got her loving more
and more often,
waiting for congealing wounds
to soften.

She was piercing each garment
with needle and thread
to avoid waking up the dead
dellusions of a graceful time...

"Let's make a pact,"
she told him,
"That I'll go on believing in you,
if you'll go on forgiving me."
And the table was set
to welcome strangers
getting high as liquid helium
drowning out the baritone drum
of the second hand.

Trapped between dimensions
of the feminine and masculine
charades
Too much sex to love these women,
Too much tits to love these men:
Freud would cum to get his hands
on her pen.
So she let them all touch her
on the outside
the surface
the seething skin,
shuddering with the pleasure
of subversive silence
and tragic, defeated sin.

"Let's make a deal," she told him.
