I feel like a kid who just got the spy glasses she ordered out of the back of an Archie comic!!!!!! Perhaps I should explain. I signed up for a mailing list for Absolutely Kosher Records about a month ago, on the promise of a sampler CD, the likes of which I was uncertain I would ever see. Anyway, for the last month, every time I checked the mail, I was really only doing it in hopes of spotting my bounty. I went down to check it today (first time this week, he he) AND THERE IT WAS!!!!!!! I DO believe in Santa!! I DO believe in Santa!!
Anyway, I'm only about three songs in so I'm not sure yet, but so far, so good. Nothin' like getting a CD of bands you've never heard of, especially when it's FREE!!!! mmmmm, post-rock, alt-grunge. My favorite flavour.

Actually, I do recognize one band on here. The Mountain Goats. I wasn't sure until I heard the new song on this disc, but it's unmistakably the same band I remember. Wow, does that ever take me back in the day... I first heard them during my Eric's Trip, Blonde Redhead, Sebadoh era, cerca 1995-97 roughly. I think someone I know had a wicked acid trip looking at the cover of one of their CD's. The one with the multi-coloured, 50's dining room style goat on the front. The colours moved and the goat danced. Anyway...
